“Our new lab at San Felasco allows us to move faster, from raw formulation to test-ready prototypes,” said Abdurrahman Bejjaj, Founder and CEO of Ignition Packaging. “This isn’t just a space upgrade, it’s a platform for scale, partnership, and meaningful climate impact.”

With this expansion, Ignition gains the space and tools needed to:

  • Run pilot-scale production and durability testing

  • Conduct in-house biodegradability experiments

  • Accelerate R&D with improved access to technical resources and collaborators

The move also reflects a growing trend in mission-driven startups leveraging localized ecosystems to commercialize green technologies. As the company pushes toward commercialization and customer pilots, San Felasco offers the infrastructure and proximity needed to support real-world testing and rapid iteration.

This expansion reinforces Ignition Packaging’s commitment to building packaging solutions that are not only eco-friendly and compostable, but structurally sound, scalable, and commercially viable.
