Ignition Packaging is proud to announce its selection as a University of Florida Innovation Fellow, a prestigious honor awarded to standout student-led ventures advancing real-world impact through interdisciplinary innovation. The fellowship is a joint initiative of the UF Engineering Innovation Institute and the Warrington College of Business’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.

This recognition comes with $3,000 in non-dilutive funding, which Ignition Packaging is actively applying to accelerate its R&D efforts—specifically toward improving the strength, durability, and commercial readiness of its biodegradable packaging materials. “This award reinforces the value of combining engineering excellence with bold entrepreneurial thinking,” said Abdurrahman Bejjaj, Founder and CEO of Ignition Packaging. “We’re honored to be selected as a UF Innovation Fellow and excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what sustainable packaging can be.”

As part of the Innovation Fellows program, Ignition joins a select group of ventures receiving mentorship, campus-wide visibility, and access to university resources. The fellowship supports ventures that exemplify scalable, impactful innovation—a mission that aligns directly with Ignition’s commitment to solving the global packaging crisis through science-driven sustainability.
